An Amazing 4x4 Adventure Experience We had an absolutely fantastic experience renting from Adventus 4x4. From start to finish, Louis’s communication was excellent. His instructions were incredibly detailed and included everything we needed to know for a successful 4x4 adventure. We travelled as two vehicles, and renting Gemsbok with the Bosluis setup was incredibly convenient. We spent six days completely off-grid, and the water tank was more than sufficient for hot showers and keeping us comfortable throughout our stay. One of our favourite features was being able to sleep comfortably inside the Land Cruiser without having to step outside during the night to use the toilet. We also rented the Porta Potti, which made a huge difference, especially when camping in remote areas where there were leopards around the camp! The Land Cruiser itself was incredibly powerful and handled the 4x4 terrain with ease. We felt safe and confident throughout the entire trip. Louis was also extremely accommodating with our special requests and was always willing to help. He took the time to explain all the functions of the vehicle. We felt very safe, comfortable and well equipped throughout our two-week Botswana and West Coast adventure. It was the perfect setup for an off-grid trip with all equipment included for any recovery. We would rent from Louis again anytime and would highly recommend Adventus 4x4 to our friends and family. We did a trip through Africa with 8 other vehicles, and wouldn’t swop our vehicle for any of the others! It was easy to cross borders as we had all the necessary permits and paperwork. The vehicle was in tip top condition and easy to set up- took only a few minutes and we were ready to go! The vehicle was extremely well equipped with everything we needed, we only had to take our clothes. It was a comfortable ride and very spacious. We were ready for any circumstance and were the only vehicle who had no problems whatsoever on the trip. Thank you Louis! It was a pleasure to deal with you as you answered all questions and showed us in detail what to do. Without a doubt we will rent from you again! Hopefully in the near future. Assieme a Danie e ai suoi amici abbiamo percorso piste in sabbia con molti passaggi in acqua profonda e fango nel Central Kalahari, a Moremi e Savuti fino a raggiungere Kasane per una gita di un giorno alle cascate Vittoria. La vettura si è dimostrata all’altezza delle nostre aspettative: dalla cabina di guida con il praticissimo portaoggetti sopra il cruscotto e il frigorifero per le bevande, capiente ma poco ingombrante; la grande autonomia dovuta al doppio serbatoio di gasolio; la cucina perfettamente attrezzata con ampio frigorifero e congelatore, fornello a gas con due fuochi, padelle e stoviglie a sufficienza, illuminazione in ogni scomparto, lavello e serbatoio da 120 litri per l’acqua, grande tenda da sole sotto la quale ci siamo potuti proteggere durante un temporale; la zona notte dove si può stare in piedi con pratici scomparti per i vestiti e la biancheria e il comodo letto matrimoniale con piumino e biancheria, l’impianto elettrico con panelli solari che ci ha fornito sempre corrente elettrica a 220 volt che ci ha permesso di offrire agli altri membri del convoglio corrente per ricaricare qualsiasi apparecchio. Fortunatamente non abbiamo dovuto utilizzare il verricello e i numerosi attrezzi forniti in dotazione. Avevamo già noleggiato numerose vetture con attrezzatura da campeggio in Sudafrica e in Namibia. La vettura di Adventus con la cellula camper Bushlapa è stata per noi in assoluto l’esperienza migliore. The vehicle was in perfect condition and Louis was incredibly helpful throughout the process. Our trip started in Cape Town then on to Pretoria where several other couples joined us for a Botswana experience. Our trip Through Botswana included Khama Rhino Sanctuary, Lekhubu Island, Khumaga and the Nxai Pan National Park. Conditions were very challenging requiring several recoveries which were made fairly easy with the extensive range of recovery tools supplied with the vehicle. Our routing back to Pretoria was via Nata Lodge. We were very fortunate in that we were able to hand the vehicle back to Louis in Pretoria and then fly back to Cape Town. The whole experience — from the initial communication with Louis, to the vehicle itself with every detail thoughtfully considered, to the final handover — was an absolute pleasure. Congratulations to the Adventus 4x4 team! We are two rookie 4x4 drivers and inexperienced campers who had never done wild camping before, taking on the Botswana side of the Kgalagadi alongside two very experienced, well-equipped 4x4 campers. I was secretly terrified (without showing any of it to my apprehensive wife). Would everything go well? Would my wife — who definitely prefers a bungalow — enjoy this? Would we manage the loose sand and dunes? The Springbok had everything we needed — and more. Louis had thought of absolutely everything, and all of it was top quality: excellent tyres, upgraded suspension, quality kitchen equipment, and ample storage space. Louis even installed a permanent two-way radio for us at the very last minute! We never got stuck. We travelled in comfort and style. The experienced 4x4 guys both took turns driving the Springbok and immediately agreed that it was far more enjoyable to drive than their own vehicles! In their experience, most rental vehicles are poorly maintained and sparsely equipped with cheap gear. The Springbok was exactly the opposite — it excelled in every area, with an impressive list of standard features. Of all the optional extras available, we only added the beam light and the scorpion torch. We lacked absolutely nothing. After 2,800 km and 12 nights, my experienced friends concluded that their adult children should rather rent from Louis and Adventus than buy their own vehicles. And my apprehensive better half? She became a very happy camper. She slept comfortably and was especially grateful not to have to climb onto a vehicle roof or struggle dressing within a rooftop tent. The Springbok’s interior was surprisingly spacious, allowing two people to stand and dress comfortably at the same time. The awning was sturdy and incredibly easy to deploy. From parking the vehicle to sitting down with a G&T took us less than 10 minutes. By the end of the trip, we became so efficient that we could pack everything away and head out for a game drive within minutes! All in all — a genuine 5-star experience. Thanks, Louis! From the moment we collected the vehicle from Adventus 4x4 Rentals, everything was seamless, professional, and clearly well thought through. The Cruiser itself was incredible — not just a vehicle, but a complete experience. It was immaculately prepared and equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need for a trip. Every detail had been considered, from the obvious essentials to those small extras you only realise you need once you’re out there. It genuinely made the whole journey effortless and stress-free. Even as someone who isn’t naturally a camper, this setup completely won me over. It turns any non-camper into a confident, comfortable, and even proud camper. There’s something really special about knowing you have everything you need, wherever you go. This was more than just a rental — it felt like the start of a whole new way of travelling. I’m already counting down the days until my next trip. One night on the trip we were getting into camp late, the road was technical and slow going and we were coming up against nightfall and a thunderstorm was coming in. We got in and 5 minutes later camp was set, awning was out, and we were enjoying charcuterie with red wine as the rain came down and the baboons howled.
